The My Incidents dashboard notifies you of Incidents you are involved with. The actions you need to take will vary depending on the status of the incident and your involvement with it.

My Incident dashboard notifications are generated when an incident changes status, from new, to under investigation, to under action, etc. You’ll receive these notifications if you are:

  • The relevant Improvement Portfolio Manager
  • A stakeholder for the incident, such as
  • Incident Reporter
  • Incident Editor
  • Incident Viewer
  • Incident Owner
  • Action Owner
  • Custom Closing Owner

Clearing Incident Notifications

Incident notifications indicate the action you are required to take. There are several buttons that might appear depending on your role and the progress of the incident.

[View] and [Seen It] buttons indicate you’re being advised of the Incident or a change to it. [View] opens the Incident to review it, while [Seen It] clears the notification and records that you are aware of any changes.

[Mark All as Seen] in the top right-hand corner will mark all visible [View] / [Seen It] notifications as seen. If there are more notifications below the [Show More] bar they won’t be cleared.

[Assign], [Investigate], [Create Action], [Approve Action Plan], [Action] and [Review] are used to progress an Incident to the next stage, and will only be available to those with authority to make those changes. Each will open the appropriate screen where you can enter the details required.

Incident Owners only receive [View] notifications when Incidents they own have an action in progress that is due or overdue. This notification can’t be cleared until the action has been completed, but there is an icon which allows Owners to email reminders to those responsible. This due period can be set in the configuration menu.
