Process groups are a way to organise and manage your processes, arranging them in helpful categories and controlling who has access to them.

Process groups are the ‘containers’ that your processes sit within. You can arrange how processes are displayed in the group overview, and highlight workflows between them.

They’re also where documents are assigned when you add them. Process groups use permissions to restrict the access to and visibility of the processes they contain. Stakeholders are set at the process group level, and they are the users who have responsibilities in the collected processes. That includes document ownership as well as editing, approving and publishing processes.

Process Champions are set at the group level, and they’re responsible for process improvement in a specific area of the organisation. They work in the area of governance with the organisation’s Lead Process Champions to deliver on the expectations set by the Exec Sponsor. This includes working with the process owners and experts who are responsible for capturing, improving and deploying great processes.
