Promapp allows you to search for specific processes, browse Process Groups, or easily find recently viewed processes.
Search for a Process
You can search for a process from the Homepage search box, or the search menu on the top right of the navigation bar.
‘Quick’ search results – those shown in the drop-down result list – are drawn from all Process and Process Group titles only. Pressing [Enter] or selecting the magnifying glass extends the search to documents and process content – summary information, activities, links, tasks and notes.
In the navigation bar, the drop-down menu on the right of the search box will filter search results. It can include or exclude titles, in-progress processes, process content, and documents or focus on specific Process Groups.
Searches will not show archived processes or documents in the results.
Search Terms
Promapp searches for all the terms entered as distinct entries linked by ‘and’ statements. The search will accept [AND] as an operator, and [*] and [%] as wildcard terms.
For example:
- Searching for ‘new product’ will return any processes, groups or documents with ‘new’ and ‘product’ in the content. Searching ‘new AND product’ will yield the same results.
- Searching for ‘new product*’ will bring up any process, group or document containing ‘new’ and any extensions of ‘product’ such as products or production.
Recent and Favourite Processes
The Homepage shows a list of the last 10 processes viewed, and a tab to view processes that have been marked as ‘favourites’ which act as quick-access shortcuts to these processes.
These lists can also be accessed from the Process menu button on the Navigation Bar.
Favourite Processes
The Process Menu Button
Hovering your mouse over the Process menu button on the Navigation Bar opens a drop-down menu that allows you to quickly access processes that you are involved in, as well as favourite and recently viewed processes. You can also create a new process directly from this menu.
